ABOUT US
OUR STORY
For decades, Pack 278 has served the North Shore New York Long Island Communities of Glen Head, Old Brookville, Sea Cliff, Roslyn Harbor, and Glenwood Landing.
Our programs have evolved over the years but our focus on providing life skills to our children has not. Scouts can meet new friends, participate in outdoor activities, athletics, and technology-based programs while volunteering in their local communities. Our new program encompasses strategic partnerships such as the one with Microsoft, that allows us to connect technology and sustainability with the needs of our Scouts and community.

ADVENTURE IS FOR EVERYONE
Cub Scouts is for Boys and Girls in Kindergarten to 5th grade and they do not have to be residents of the North Shore School District. Scouts participate in fun events such as Canoeing, Biking, Hiking, Camping in Montauk, Skiing, Fitness Sundays and STEM Challenges, while earning achievements and advancing in rank.
We have achieved hundreds of collective hours of community service and provided critical skills such as First Aid to our Scouts as well as raised critical disaster funding for those in need. Projects such as the mobile library for commuters at the Long Island Railroad Station in Glen Head were built and funded by Pack 278. Where will your adventure lead?
